Dear Candace Owens, Men Don’t Need Masculinity To Have Strength

Masculinity has nothing to do with strength and everything to do with power

Six days ago, BBC reported on China’s efforts to promote an education drive on making boys more manly. China’s education ministry has suggested that young Chinese men have become too “feminine” in recent years. In an effort to combat that, the minister sent out a notice outlining how the government was going to hire more physical education teachers to teach boys about sports like football to cultivate boys’ masculinity. Candace Owens, a far-right Republican influencer, decided to voice her opinion on that matter two days ago when she went to her Twitter.

This isn’t the first time that she has voiced her concern over “manly” men no longer existing. She made her opinions known when she voiced her objection to Harry Styles wearing a dress on the cover of Vogue Magazine. At the time she tweeted,
