I don't think Medium is going anywhere and they have made positive changes to the website over the past couple of months. They do need to work on better transparency around views and earnings though because it is still hard to discern where traffic views are coming from and why pieces earn what they do. Lastly, they need to figure out a way to allow people to monetize publications. We shouldn't be amassing these followings and serving as editors for free.
