My biggest issue with this article is the fact that you feel comfortable enough to dictate what a community needs to do in order to be accepted by you, even though you aren't in it. What gives you the right to tell the transgender community what they need to do in order for you to feel comfortable? Presuming that you are a cishet man, I find it interesting how many assumptions you make about trans women. Not only were the relationships with the two other women consensual, New Jersey houses most trans prisoners according to their gender identity and provides gender-affirming care. Lastly, who cares what you thought about the community in the 80s and 90s. Not only does it show that you were ignorant to the community back in the 80s and 90s but that you still are today. Just a reminder, the transgender community does not need to make you feel comfortable in order for them to be safe and protected.
