Thanks for writing this piece. It is important to highlight that gay white men still struggle with homophobia, but I believe it is also important to highlight that they also benefit from being white and male. White male privilege is very real and it is only afforded to white gay men in the queer community. So while it is important to recognize that white gay men do experience struggles, it is also important to showcase that they have inherent privilege no one else in the queer community can attain.
