The Optics of Biden’s Presidency Isn’t Looking Great

After ending many of the pandemic policies put in place under Trump, Americans are beginning to question the motives of Biden.

President Joe Biden’s approval rating just hit an all-time low with only 44% of Americans saying he’s doing enough for the economy. The latest sign of trouble for Biden comes as his Administration looks to tackle numerous issues in 2022 with the midterm elections looming over their shoulders. The Democratic party’s biggest issue seems to be convincing voters that things are better than they were 12 months ago. With unemployment down to 4.2%, average hourly earnings up 4.8%, and 73% of the population having received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, what went wrong for Biden in his first year as President?

One of the biggest problems plaguing this Administration is messaging around the Covid-19 pandemic. From confusing and conflicting information coming from the CDC to ending consumer financial protections, Biden hasn’t convinced Americans that his Administration knows what it is doing. A lot of Americans are reasonably comparing what they had under Trump versus what they have under Biden. To many, they see that Trump started unemployment benefits, the eviction moratorium, lockdowns, and money going into their bank…
